  • Dogville - minimalist to the extreme, heart-rending, vicious, and difficult, Lars Von Trier's latest moral play is a not-to-be-missed experience
  • The Far Side of the Moon - a nostalgic, funny, and smart little comedy that's brilliantly adapted from the director's own play
  • Finding Nemo - another fine Pixar spectacle that melds family comedy with the best in computer animation
  • Kill Bill Vol. 1 - Tarnatino's homage to the Hong Kong and Japanese swords and matial arts genre is in a class all its own; violence and femme fatales are on the menu
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - the final chapter of the trilogy is perhaps the greatest fantasy adventure film ever put to screen
  • Love Actually - a marvelously enjoyable Brit ensemble romantic comedy to end all romantic comedies
  • Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World - a rousing, epic sea adventure that's literate, interesting and engaging
  • X2: X-Men United - with action, effects and great characterization, this is flat out the best comic book adaptation ever made
